New HIRE Vets Medallion Program Resources Available
New resources have been added to HIREVets.gov to help us spread the word on the HIRE Vets Medallion Program. These include numerous graphics and widgets that can be downloaded for use on your website or favorite social media platform to advocate for the program. In preparation for the 2019 Application Period, our existing program information resources have also been updated to provide you with the latest on the HIRE Vets Medallion Program. Throughout the remainder of 2018 new content will be continuously revised and provided to assist with preparation of applications for the new award year.

2018 Program Demonstration Continues
Review of the 300 applications submitted as part of the 2018 Program Demonstration is currently underway. VETS will be reaching out to some employers for additional clarification on responses contained in their applications in order to make a final determination on whether the employer will be awarded a HIRE Vets Medallion Program Award. Notice of expected award will be sent out to employers in October, with the official announcement of award recipients to follow in November on Veterans Day.
We encourage you to stay tuned to HIREVets.gov for updates as we complete the 2018 Program Demonstration cycle and you begin to prepare for the 2019 award cycle.

HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration Completes Application Goal
The U.S. Department of Labor announced today that the HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration has reached its application goal, and the registration period is now closed. This November, the Department will recognize employers who qualified for the HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration Award.
The program demonstration enabled up to 300 employers to apply and prepare those who registered for an account on the HIREVets.gov website.

The U.S. Department of Labor today announced the launch of the HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration — an effort that will recognize up to 300 employers for their investments in recruiting, employing, and retaining our nation’s veterans.

Next Step Announced for HIRE Vets Medallion Award Program
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) announced it is accepting public comments on the criteria for the HIRE Vets Medallion Program. A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) was published in the Federal Register today.
